Whether you are looking for a classic barrel rein, one for roping, or simple pleasure riding, this single ply harness rein will do the job. This is an excellent rein for beginners and professionals alike.
We make our reins with American tanned, Hermann Oak Old World harness leather. Old World harness leather has a long reputation with cowboy professionals. As this leather ages, it gets darker and feels better in the hand. Each rein is cut from the hide, rubbed with saddle soap, Neatsfoot oil, and saddle soap again. This gives it a heavy, pliable feel like it’s already been broke-in.
These reins come in several sizes but, are non adjustable. We’ve learned most people never adjust their reins, so by eliminating the adjustable feature, we can reduce the cost. We recommend you measure a set of reins in your tack room so that you know what size will feel best to you and your horse.
